What is Life Casting?
Life casting is a safe and highly detailed moulding process that captures the exact shape and delicate features of your baby's hand or feet. Each finished piece is carefully refined and presented as a timeless keepsakes for your family
Baby Life Casting (0-24 months)
These sessions are designed for babies and toddlers during their first two years, a stage that changes almost overnight. Tiny hands stretch, soft feet grow and those delicate details quickly begin to fade.
Life casting preserves these moments as beautiful 3D keepsakes you can display in your home for years to come. Many families choose to add casting alongside their newborn or milestone session so their memories are preserved in both photograph and form.
What to Expect
Life casting sessions are calm, gentle and completely baby-led, allowing plenty of time for your little one to feel settled and comfortable throughout.

After your appointment, your cast is carefully refined, dried and professionally finished by hand before being beautifully presented in your chosen custom frame.
Every cast is handcrafted with care to create a keepsake you will treasure for years to come.
The casting process itself takes just a few minutes while the finishing and detailing of each piece is completed in the studio after your visit.
While home casting kits are available, many families prefer the reassurance of a guided studio experience and a professionally finished keepsakes that captures every delicate details.
✨ The Experience
From the moment you arrive, your session is calm, gentle and completely baby-led. All materials are carefully prepared in advance so the appointment flows smoothly and without rush.
Your baby hands and feet are softly cleansed and a light layer of baby oil is applied before being placing into the moulding material for just a few moments, capturing every tiny crease and detail.
Once your moulds are complete, the remaining casting process including pouring and curing is carried out carefully in the studio after you have left. This allows your appointment to be relaxed and focused entirely on your baby's comfort.
Each cast is then refined and finished by hand before being professionally presented in your chosen frame.
You will be notified as soon as your keepsakes is ready for collection

Sessions take place in my cosy studio in Oban, where everything is prepared in advance so your appointment feels relaxed and comfortable for both you and your baby.

Booking Information
To secure your life costing session, a non refundable £50 booking fee is required at the time of booking. This fee secures your appointment in the studio diary and will be deducted from your chosen casting collection. The remaining balance is due once your session is confirmed.
