Thank you for visiting my website and taking the time to learn more about me — your photographer!

My name is Ada Okekeogbu, and I live in the beautiful town of Oban, Argyll, with my wonderful husband Chuma and our four amazing daughters — Amanda, Zara, and our twins Kamsi and Kosi. My husband works as a GP across the scenic Scottish Isles, and I currently serve as a Biomedical Scientist at the Lorn and Islands Hospital in Oban. I’m working toward transitioning into full-time photography, a passion that has shaped so much of my life.

My Photography Journey

My love for photography began in childhood, sparked by a toy camera gifted to me by my lovely mother. I would pretend to take photos constantly, often stopping family events with my trademark phrase — “Freeze the moment first!”

From compact digital cameras to capturing scenic views and candid moments with friends, photography followed me through life. When I became pregnant with my first daughter, Amanda, I purchased my first DSLR camera. I didn’t want to miss a single memory and I didn’t. I lovingly documented every stage of Amanda’s early life, followed by her sister Zara, creating a collection of photos that became some of my most cherished possessions.

As I shared these moments online, I began receiving requests to photograph other families and their little ones. With the support of friends and family — and countless hours spent on both online and in-person training — Ada Okekeogbu Photography was born and it continues to grow every day.

Why I Love What I Do

There’s nothing quite like the first year of a baby’s life — it goes by in a blink, yet it holds so much wonder. I feel honored to help families freeze those moments and turn them into lasting keepsakes.
